On a perfectly ordinary day in January 1966 at Odendaalsrus, two cousins ​​go swimming at the municipal swimming pool. By dusk they are still not home, and a large-scale search is launched.

The family and community are deeply shocked by the horrific events. Issie's brother feels responsible for the tragedy. The local police station is not up to the task of investigating the case.

No evidence links the family member to the murders. André joins the police. In 1984, the Niggies case is reopened after new information comes to light. André is involved in the investigation.
