In March, we meet, say goodbye, and remember our loved ones who passed away that day. A flower arrangement store in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture. The commercial facility where the store is located was built two years ago. The Yuriage area was severely damaged by the earthquake, and it took a long time to rebuild the town. In spring, many customers come to the store. Flowers for school graduates, flowers to mourn the deceased, and flowers to add color to new lives. For three days, we listen to their voices.

A pebbly beach on Niigata Prefecture's Sea of Japan coast contains pieces of real jade. Some people who come here for a natural treasure hunt find jade right away, others have no luck despite picking through the stones all day. Among the visitors were a family on a trip; regulars who come from far and wide; and a woman whose visits here helped her become more socially outgoing. What is it that lures them so much to this beach? For three days in early summer, we asked the people hunting for treasure at the water's edge.

It is a coin-operated locker-type machine, and customers put money in and take it out. A father and son came for lettuce grown in the field in front of their house. A man stops by on his way home from his daily run and buys some to please his wife. Nerima Ward has the most farmland in Tokyo's 23 wards and is home to many vegetable vending machines. 17. At the seaside station where a handkerchief flutters

Many yellow handkerchiefs fluttering in the sea breeze. The setting is a small station on a local train line running through the Shimabara Peninsula in Nagasaki. Behind the platform is the Ariake Sea. Although the station is unmanned, people are constantly visiting, writing their wishes on handkerchiefs and attaching them to the platform. A couple stopped by during a paired date. A photographer drove from Tokyo to take pictures of this railroad. Locals also hope that life with this station will continue for a long time. 20. Doronko Park" Children Running in the Rain

A boy and his family came from Fukuoka to visit this rest stop. Even late at night, people from all walks of life come and go, including drivers of huge trailers and men on their way to deliver milk.
